About the Role:

As an Insurance Coverage Attorney, you’ll become a trusted advisor to clients, providing expert analysis and representation on insurance coverage matters. You’ll work on complex litigation, including declaratory judgment actions, bad faith claims, and more—making a significant impact on high-profile cases. Your legal insight and strategic thinking will drive the success of clients in both New Jersey and New York.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive legal advice on insurance coverage issues, including policy interpretation and analysis.

  • Draft clear, concise coverage opinions, position letters, and reservation of rights letters.

  • Represent clients—insurers and policyholders alike—in litigation, including declaratory judgment and bad faith claims.

  • Lead discovery, depositions, and motions practice in both state and federal courts.

  • Collaborate closely with clients, claims professionals, and colleagues to build innovative legal strategies.

  • Stay at the forefront of developments in insurance law across New York and New Jersey.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

  • Active license to practice in both New York and New Jersey.

  • 3+ years of experience in insurance coverage law, with a proven track record in both advisory and litigation roles.

  • Outstanding analytical, writing, and communication skills.

  • A strong ability to manage multiple cases and meet tight deadlines.

  • Experience in mediation and settlement negotiations is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Expertise in diverse insurance policies, including commercial general liabilityprofessional liability, and property.

  • In-depth experience handling bad faith claims and coverage disputes.

  • Familiarity with case management tools and legal research platforms.
