About the Role:
As an Insurance Coverage Attorney, you’ll become a trusted advisor to clients, providing expert analysis and representation on insurance coverage matters. You’ll work on complex litigation, including declaratory judgment actions, bad faith claims, and more—making a significant impact on high-profile cases. Your legal insight and strategic thinking will drive the success of clients in both New Jersey and New York.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver comprehensive legal advice on insurance coverage issues, including policy interpretation and analysis.

Draft clear, concise coverage opinions, position letters, and reservation of rights letters.

Represent clients—insurers and policyholders alike—in litigation, including declaratory judgment and bad faith claims.

Lead discovery, depositions, and motions practice in both state and federal courts.

Collaborate closely with clients, claims professionals, and colleagues to build innovative legal strategies.

Stay at the forefront of developments in insurance law across New York and New Jersey.
What We’re Looking For:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Active license to practice in both New York and New Jersey.

3+ years of experience in insurance coverage law, with a proven track record in both advisory and litigation roles.

Outstanding analytical, writing, and communication skills.

A strong ability to manage multiple cases and meet tight deadlines.

Experience in mediation and settlement negotiations is a plus.
Preferred Skills:

Expertise in diverse insurance policies, including commercial general liability, professional liability, and property.

In-depth experience handling bad faith claims and coverage disputes.

Familiarity with case management tools and legal research platforms.
