Job Position: Welder
Location: Arden, NC 28704
Pay Rate: $19.00/hr – $21/hr DOE
Schedule: 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM, 9-hour shifts (with overtime and mandatory Saturdays)
Welding test required during interviews (please bring welding helmet and long sleeves)
Perform MIG welding tasks using hand welding and flame cutting equipment to join metal components and parts according to specified layouts or blueprints.
Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities:

Receive Shop Packets, work orders, specifications, prints, or sketches from Supervisor to set up and operate specified machines with selected materials.

Weld metal parts or components using Stick, Mig, or Tig equipment.

Guide electrodes or torch along the weld line at specified speed and angle for welding, melting, cutting, or trimming metal.

Review layouts, blueprints, or diagrams to prepare for welding or cutting metal.

Weld in flat, horizontal, and vertical positions as required.

Make necessary adjustments during operation to achieve requisite dimensions or tolerances.

Clean and prepare surfaces for welding.

Start and shut down equipment following company safety procedures and OSHA requirements.

Adhere to all established department and company standard operating procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications And Skills:

Associate’s Degree or Applicable Certification in Welding.

3+ years of experience in a Manufacturing Environment.

Proficiency in Blue Print Reading.

Proven Leadership skills.

Ability to understand and carry out Safety Policies.

Must have tools required for welding.

Regularly required to talk or hear.

Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms.

Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
