Trusts & Estates Associate Attorney – Blue Bell or Philadelphia, PA

This position is based in either the Blue Bell or Philadelphia office and is ideal for an associate with two to five years of focused experience in trusts, estates, and tax planning.

About the Opportunity

Our client is a nationally recognized Am Law firm with more than 1,000 attorneys across the country. Despite its size and reach, the firm is known for maintaining the collegiality and mentorship of a boutique practice. The Taxation & Wealth Planning group is deeply integrated across the firm’s practices, providing associates with direct exposure to high-net-worth individuals, family-owned businesses, and complex tax and estate planning matters.

Attorneys in this role will be entrusted with client-facing responsibilities, supported by a team that encourages autonomy, development, and thought leadership.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will bring two to five years of experience in estate planning and administration, ideally including work on matters involving high-net-worth clients, closely held businesses, and sophisticated tax strategies. Candidates should possess a strong academic background, excellent drafting skills, and a demonstrated commitment to client service and strategic problem-solving.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school

  • Admission to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

  • Two to five years of relevant trusts and estates experience

  • Proficiency in estate planning and administration, including tax aspects and compliance

  • Experience drafting estate planning documents, researching tax and probate issues, and preparing or reviewing estate and gift tax returns

  • Exposure to planning for family-owned businesses and complex life insurance arrangements is preferred

  • An LL.M. in Taxation is helpful, but not required
