Job Position: Brake Press Operator

Location: Hendersonville, NC 28792

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Press Brake Operator to join our metal fabrication team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining press brake machines to bend and shape metal into precise components for various projects. This requires expertise in reading blueprints, ensuring safety, and producing high-quality products within established timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate Press Brake Machines: Set up, operate, and maintain press brake machines to bend and shape metal parts according to specifications.

  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job orders to determine the correct bending methods, machine settings, and tooling.

  • Quality Control: Inspect finished parts for accuracy, ensuring they meet required tolerances and quality standards. Adjust as needed to maintain precision.

  • Tool Setup & Changeover: Install, align, and adjust dies and punches based on the job specifications and material requirements.

  • Machine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on press brake machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and troubleshooting minor issues to ensure smooth operation.

  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols while operating machines to prevent accidents and injuries.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience operating press brake machines in a metal fabrication environment.

  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of press brake operation, tooling, and machine maintenance.

  • Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints with a strong understanding of geometric tolerances.

  • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on precision and quality control.

  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy materials up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods during the workday.

  • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot issues with machine operation and make necessary adjustments.

  • Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in CNC press brake operation or related field.

  • Knowledge of varied materials used in metal fabrication, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.

• 10-hour shifts – Monday-Thursday 6:00AM – 4:30 PM. • $20 + DOE
