Job Position: Mechanical Maintenance
Location: Hendersonville, NC 28792
Pay Rate: $24.50/hr
Shift: 2nd – 8 hour + Sat OT
Summary:
Join our clients team in Hendersonville as a Maintenance Mechanic responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of plant and production equipment. This role involves maintaining, servicing, and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment, conducting preventive maintenance, and handling work orders.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and service mechanical equipment, machinery, and components
Use hand and power tools as required
Perform repairs and maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment, as well as building systems
Conduct periodic equipment inspections as part of preventive maintenance
Evaluate requests for repair and identify replacement parts needed
Monitor the installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment
Ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements
Schedule and coordinate installation support and service operations
Complete work in accordance with established safety procedures
Maintain equipment manuals, complete work orders, inspection reports, and document work hours
Adhere to food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
Notify management of any food safety concerns
Adopt and maintain all SQF requirements
Collaborate with supervision to address food safety and quality issues
Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications:
Three years of industrial/manufacturing mechanic experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Mechanical, pneumatics, and electrical (120vac-480vac) knowledge
Detail-oriented with multitasking abilities
Excellent time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the food/beverage industry is a plus
Previous experience in manufacturing or production environment is a plus
Problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
Ability to talk and hear
Stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently
Use hands and fingers to operate machinery/equipment
Exposure to wet and humid conditions and seasonal temperature fluctuations
Occasional squatting, kneeling, reaching, and use of a dust mask
Ability to wear a dust mask and perform Confined Entry using LOTO program
Exposure to toxic and corrosive chemicals
Vision and hearing abilities in a fast-paced production environment with noise exposure
