Description:Environmental, Health and Safety Leader
POSITION REPORTS TO: Executive Vice President
BASIC FUNCTION: Oversee all Company safety related programs and maintain compliance with for all environmental requirements.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safety – 24/7/365
- Ensure a culture of safety by leading by example
- Responsible for all locations
- Update, implement and enforce safety program and policies
- Perform all duties as outlined in the company’s safety program
- Ensure compliance with all new developments, regulations, and requirements for health and safety
- Conduct reviews of and ensure Fleet Safety
- Inspection facilities as necessary to achieve goals of safety and OSHA and EPA programs
- Monitor, implement and assure Company’s compliance with Federal and State OSHA and EPA regulations
- Establish, monitor, conduct and enforce OSHA / EPA inspection procedures
- Contact for the Loss Control and Workers Comp Carrier, follow up of such as needed
- Lead Accident Investigations and communicate findings and recommendations with appropriate personnel
- Monitor Workers Comp lost time and light duty; generate and file OSHA 300 logs
- Complete and communicate Job Hazard Analysis Annual Review
- Coordinate Employee Annual Safety Training
- Coordinate Monthly Supervisor Safety Training
- Develop and conduct monthly employee safety meetings
- Provide topics for weekly toolbox meetings for employees conducted by Supervisors
- Develop and conduct Safety Orientation Program
- Form, maintain and conduct Safety Committee meetings
- Attend necessary seminars to maintain familiarity with regulations and requirements
- Other duties as assigned by Executive Management
- PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Sitting, Bending, and Standing for long periods of time Physical ability to work and maneuver around work areas Ability to work at heights greater than 10 feet
- 20/20 vision with corrective lenses
- QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum two (2) years experience with Health and Safety in a Heavy Manufacturing or Construction Environment Professional oral and written communication skills
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Valid Driver’s License
