Construction Litigation Attorney

This opportunity is presented by Friday Services, the trusted staffing partner for leading law firms, seeking highly qualified legal professionals to propel their growth and expansion.

Our client seeks an associate attorney with a minimum of 4 years of construction litigation experience to join their busy practice. The attorney will represent clients on sophisticated complex construction and commercial matters. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills and will excel at creating long-term relationships with clients.

Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as counsel and provide legal services to contractors, developers, design professionals, and individuals in disputes involving contractual issues, torts, defect claims, and other construction-related matters.

  • Effective communicator with ability to navigate sensitive communication with clients, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel.

  • Is present for site inspections.

  • Perform legal research and provide analysis of case law.

  • Prepare pleadings and correspondence and act as counsel in hearings, motions, and trials.

  • Take and defend depositions and draft and argue dispositive motions.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4+ years’ experience within Construction Litigation; experienced Commercial Litigators with an interest in Construction Litigation might be considered.

  • Exercises good judgment in decisions while maintaining the utmost of confidentiality and discretion in their daily work.

  • Must have strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with clients, the public, and individuals at all levels of the organization in a positive and collaborative manner.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite and programs for document e-signing.

  • Entrepreneurial with a desire to develop long-lasting client relationships.

  • Excellent time and deadline management skills with the ability to re-prioritize swiftly as needed.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with a strong attention to detail.

  • Must be licensed in the State of Florida and in good standing.

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from a top law school.

 

Compensation:  $150K-210K+ Commensurate with experience, plus bonus.
