Bankruptcy Attorney

This opportunity is presented by Friday Services, the trusted staffing partner for leading law firms, seeking highly qualified legal professionals to propel their growth and expansion.

One of our clients is seeking a bankruptcy attorney to join their team of talented lawyers in their bankruptcy practice to represent individuals, business owners, and companies in the bankruptcy process. The ideal candidate for this position is highly experienced and skilled in representing debtors, creditors, committees, and trustees, in bankruptcy proceedings as well general business torts and the Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent debtors, creditors, and trustees in Chapter 7 proceedings.

  • Represent debtors, creditors, committees, and trustees in Chapter 11 proceedings.

  • Represent debtors, creditors in Chapter 13 proceedings.

  • Receiverships.

  • Counsel clients on asset planning and protection, debt restructuring and workouts, and corporate windups and dissolution.

  • Represent clients in business torts, fraud and fraudulent matters, breaches of contracts, and Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practices.

  • Represent debtors, creditors, trustees and committees on bankruptcy matters.

  • Collaborate with a team of experienced litigators with ability to work autonomously.

  • Ability to work a hybrid work schedule with some remote work allowed.

  • Commitment to producing high-quality results; with strong attention to detail and research.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of commercial litigation experience in the State of North Carolina federal and state courts; real estate litigation, construction litigation or employment law experience is a plus.

  • Entrepreneurial with ability to build long-lasting relationships.

  • Highly motivated with ability to work autonomously.

  • Adept at negotiation and settlement skills.

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited program.

  • Licensed to practice law in North Carolina and in good standing.

 

Compensation: $105K-180K commensurate with experience.
